Dark Matter Technology Care™ (DMTC) was founded by Marrio Vida McLaurin, MBA, CISSP, Sec+, Net+ after realizing that organizations have looked at securing enterprise technology assets and managing risk in a piece-meal fashion.  He is a U.S. Air Force active duty service-disabled veteran, a former U.S. Navy Federal employee, and has supported the Pentagon in numerous capacities across the US Department of the Air Force (DAF) and Department of the Navy (DoN). As a Subject Matter Expert, his passion and vision to see organizations as a wholistic entity - not simply a sum of disparate parts- , develop unconventional solutions and empower people and organizations through a Process “first”, People “second”,  Technology “third” and Wholistic Integration “fourth” approach has brought forth unrealized potential and value to the organizations he has supported for and partnered with.  This realization slowly gained traction over 2+ decades through having a major role in leading and developing multiple information security and cybersecurity related processes, initiatives, and frameworks during his career, many of which were firsts of their kind.

Some of his accolades include:

• Translated the stand-up of the 1st Global Cybersecurity Safety (CYBERSAFE) Program of Record (POR) for Operational Technology/Industrial Control Systems (OT/ICS) requirements through developed funding forecasts, staffing algorithm metrics and overarching security and mission assurance governance framework.

• Promoted, sold and directed the design of Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) 1st Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) Process guide with Cybersecurity requirements baked-in for OT/ICS.

• Architected and drafted a DAF Cybersecurity Strategy in collaboration with U.S. Air Force (USAF) CISO and wholistic USAF Cybersecurity Program (as of 2019).

• Led the development of a Cybersecurity Program for major international cruise line.
